EBC Youth 2011- 2012 * Shining Bright *
As the director of youth ministries, I want to give you a very special welcome into a wonderful place where opportunities rooted in friendship, fun, and faith all come together at Easton Baptist Church’s Youth Ministry, where the goal is “Shining Bright”- Where the love of Christ is a light within our hearts, and sharing that light with others in our lives! We strive to be a safe place where students can develop healthy, meaningful relationships with peers and adult volunteers. We hope that students will encounter God’s love in new ways as they grow in deeper in their own personal faith. Community is important as we encourage students to grow in their relationship with the whole body of Christ through our church family, and love our neighbors- whether they have the locker next to them, or live across the world.
In order to meet the unique needs of our teens, the youth ministries will include 2 separate groups for our middle school and high school students. For information about our weekly and special events, visit our Activities Page here on this Web Site!
BREAKAWAY Middle School Ministry: for students in grades 6-8 where students have a unique group of their own to as they begin their teenage years and gain more independence to explore where faith can intersect with real life.
VENTURE High School Ministry: for students grades 9-12 is a place where high school students can find encouragement in one another and in their faith as they experience the adventure of their high school years, and face decisions that will impact their future.
We look forward to the ways the light of Christ’s love shines IN us and THROUGH us!
EBC Youth- * Shining Bright * A Community of Hope- Our Covenant
As a community where we strive to be a safe place where teens can come together in faith hope and love to explore our faith, build new friendships, and have fun we will use the following values to ensure that is possible for all who come:
~ Moments of FUN, laughter, and friendship
~ Honesty, Compassion, kindness and encouragement
to build one another up in love
~ Avoiding secrets, gossip, inside jokes and negative comments
that make people feel hurt or left out
